A Few Causes of Stomach Fat
There are many reasons for excess stomach fat, gaining all that extra weight in that middle region. Here are a few of them below, remember understanding how your body works will help in toning and sculpting it the way you want it to look.
Overeating
Overeating, let’s face it when you hungry you’re hungry, but what about when you’re not hungry and your just eating. Have you ever done this, just start eating even though you not a bit hungry? Let’s be honest many people have done this before. Overeating is a primary cause of extra stomach fat on your body. Many people might not want to admit this. They would rather try and look for a reason that is out of their control so that they have an excuse as not to change their comfortable lifestyle. But over eating is common, easy to do, and prevents you from getting the flat stomach or abs that you want.
Inactivity
Not Being Active Enough (Inactivity) this is something I will talk a lot about. The truth is a lot of adults follow the same routine every day, from waking up going to work and coming right home. They turn on the TV, sit at the computer, pop in a movie in the DVD player, or grab the phone and lie down. The only exercise they get is walking back in forth from the Fridge to the Microwave. Inactivity can be a big part of weight gain and the cause of stomach fat. If you just sit around all day and do nothing you won’t burn any energy, calories, or fat.
Stress
Stress out, yes it is true when people are stressed they often turn to what they call comfort food. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out that comfort food isn’t good for you. They just feel constantly under pressure so they start eating because it calms their nerves. Stress also throws your body’s natural fat burning process off.
Metabolism
Know any people who can eat as much as they want and never gain any visible weight. Don’t hate these people it’s simply because of their metabolism. These people are gifted with incredibly fast metabolism that works overtime to burn any extra food and fat they consume. Most people are not like this, we must be responsible for what we eat. If you believe your one of the select few people who have this type of metabolism, don’t think you will always be that way. People’s metabolism fluctuates throughout their entire natural life. Generally it is faster when they are younger and slows with age. Keep in mind that your metabolism will change from time to time so you will have to adjust what you eat too.
Lack of Exercise
You need exercise, when you are younger you are a little more active and work a lot of your fat and calories off by running around all the time. As you grow and change your routine you might find that your body is starting to slow down and gain weight. Lack of Exercise is a big reason for your extra stomach fat and if you don’t exercise things will only get worse.
Improper Digestion
Improper digestion can also be a cause of excess stomach fat. You may not technically eat more than you should, but your body might have trouble digesting your food properly and it will start storing digested food irregularly and in places that normally your body shouldn’t. That is why it is critical to drink plenty of water throughout the day this helps make your digestion smoother and less troublesome to your body. Making sure that you have the proper enzymes and vitamins in your diet will also help. Enzymes are what allow your body to break down the food into something that it can use and then get rid of the rest.
Unhealthy Eating
You may not be one of the people who can’t stop eating and still get a bulge in your midsection. In fact, by comparisons to thinner people, you may eat smaller amounts; however have you stopped to think about what it IS that you just might be eating? Just because the portions may be smaller, doesn’t mean that the calorie intake is. Eating the wrong types of foods don’t help you body no matter what portions you eat. And there are foods that contain so much extra sugar and other empty calories that it doesn’t take much at all to put you over your daily calorie intake.
